The Role:

We are looking for potential care assistants who are either looking to start their career within care or people who are experienced carers.

Our care assistants are the first port of call for our residents, whether they be helping with personal care, meals or simply spending time with them chatting about the day. Kitchen Assistant

The Role:

As our kitchen assistant you will be working with the Cook on all aspects of the kitchen processes.

You will get involved from creating menus, plating and arranging food trolleys.
Being a Kitchen Assistant at Akari Care, you will keep track of stock rotation, comply to company policies and procedures whilst following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.

At Akari Care we are always keen to develop people and let them run with ideas. We celebrate birthdays along with all the other events in a year, so if you enjoy making cakes or being the BBQ master, we would love to hear from you.

What we need from you:
• You will have experience working in a kitchen
• You will have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and be happy with following instructions within a busy kitchen
• You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure
• You must be respectful and compassionate and resilient.

Activities Co-ordinator

Our Activities Coordinator is a key part of what we do, enriching the lives of our residents and helping them stay physically and mentally active. This is a fun and immensely rewarding role that promotes socialising and enhances wellbeing, playing a major part in our residents’ engagement and happiness.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about making people happy, you will be the sort of person who likes to get to know people so that activities can be personalised. Parts of this role will be challenging so it is vital that you are patient and kind.
