Communities for Work & Communities for Work Plus Flintshire
Communities for Work is an employability programme designed for people aged 16 +. In Flintshire we can offer you a dedicated mentor, access to training, help with interview skills and much more.
Our C4W & C4W+ team here in Flintshire is made up of 2 Triage Support Workers, 2 Youth Mentors, 2 Adult Mentors, 2 Advisers and 6 C4W+ Mentors.
We also work closely with PaCE across Flintshire – they look after parents in certain areas who are looking to get back into work.
All of us at Communities for Work are here to help you find the right job for you, find training, give you help with CV’s, interview techniques and confidence.
The C4W Mentors and Advisers work with those who have been unemployed for over 12 months, and those age 24 and under who have been unemployed for any length of time in certain postcode areas across Flintshire.
The C4W+ Mentors work with those unemployed less than 12 months or those under 24 who live in any postcode across Flintshire.
Across Flintshire our Engagement Officers work with businesses and the JCP to ensure that the training Pathways we provide are right for current local needs.
These Pathways include Social Care, Construction, Hospitality, Retail and Admin. We also have access to additional courses which are completed on a more "as and when" system, such as Security.
We also have access to online learning, an important step for some, especially if they need to refresh their knowledge before taking a test or applying for a job.
You can follow us on Twitter @C4WFlintshire or on Facebook @Flintshire Communities for Work Plus.

Daniel Wade & Coran Halfpenny-Williams
Dan and Coran are our two Youth Mentors for Communities for Work, but have an overview of the whole programme. They are available for a general chat about the programme and will be able to give you an idea of the type of support we can offer.
They can also take some details from you to pass on to our Triage Support Workers who will then give you a call.
