Film & TV School Wales is a major breakthrough in Creative Industries education, developed by the University of South Wales. With our vast experience, industry links and fantastic location in the heart of Cardiff, we’ll provide students with the best opportunities to build a successful career in 21st century film and television.

Our campus is in the heart of Cardiff ’s creative industry, with major TV and filmstudios within easy reach, including BBC Drama, Bad Wolf Studios, Dragon Studios and S4C.

Our graduates have forged successful international careers, including Academy Award winning director, Asif Kapadia, and award-winning directors, Phil John and Gareth Evans.

Film has been in taught at the University for over 50 years, with the original Newport Film School created by John Grierson, the founder of British documentary.

The USW Creative Graduate Festival showcases and celebrates our creative industries students and their work in Cardiff Campus.

Every summer, we share student work, interviews and insights into our creative courses and the creative industries.
