The cover image is a photo from our last in-person Annual General Meeting. It shows staff and participants celebrating their achievements together.
'Innovate Trust' is shown in pink letters, with Trust written under Innovate. The two letter 'N's and the top of the 'T' create a smiley face.

Innovate Trust

Innovate Trust supports people with learning disabilities, people on the autism spectrum and people with mental health issues to lead fulfilled, independent lives at home and in the community.

Originating from a student volunteer project at Cardiff University, Innovate Trust provides support and guidance to disabled people, people on the autism spectrum and people with mental health problems.

Innovate Trust are supported by the European Social Fund through Welsh Government to run two skills and wellbeing development projects. They are;

TAKE CHARGE & STEP ON!

Step On is open to 18 - 24-year olds living in Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan.
Take Charge is open to anyone aged 25 or over living in Cardiff, the Vale of Rhondda Cynon Taf.

The projects support anyone who has a learning disability or self-declared work-limiting health condition and is not currently in paid work.

We support participants to gain new skills, improve their confidence and move towards volunteer roles and further learning by offering:

Work relevant training sessions e.g. Food safety, first aid, fire training, health and safety.

Equal opportunities training e.g. Religion, identity and expression, age and gender equality.

Opportunities to learn about sustainable living e.g. Travel, fashion, recycling, road safety and healthy eating

Opportunities to learn about the world of work.

Opportunities to improve IT skills.

….and much more!!!

The projects are FREE and taking place online and in-person (one-to-one or in small groups).

You can find out more about our projects by emailing Takecharge@innovate-trust.org.uk or Stepon@Innovate-trust.org.uk.

We know that not everyone is comfortable accessing services online. That's why we created Insight, our own in-house social media application. Insight is a safe space to make new friends, share what you've been up to and access online events from Take Charge, Step On and many more projects and providers!
