Work Start Scheme

Work Start is an employment led project within Working Denbighshire supporting individuals to get into employment. We can offer a three month paid placement, either paid or unpaid and support them throughout their journey.

Work Start is internal and external, meaning we can provide employment opportunities within the council and further afield. Some of the placements we have provided include

Administrative assistant
Social Media assistant
Dog grooming assistant
Labourer
Receptionist
Fitness Instructor
Production Operative

WORK START SCHEME - Receptionist/Fitness Instructor

Employer: Live Life Light – RHYL
Placement Title: Receptionist / Fitness Instructor
Number of Placement Vacancies: 2

Placement Duration: 3 months
Hours of Work: 37 hrs

If you are keen on health and fitness and you would enjoy working with a variety of different people, in a friendly, fun and motivational gym, this job could be ideal for you. Live Life Light is a gym that provides gym sessions, fitness and strength classes, nutrition advice, gym programs, online workouts, home workouts and gym/home challenges. The role will involve being the first point of contact and providing support within the Live Life Light.

Kickstart Scheme - Teaching Assistant

Employer: Denbighshire County Council
Hours: 25 per week
Pay: NMW
Location: Prestatyn, Denbigh, St Asaph, Trefnant, Ruthin, Dyserth & Bodelwyddan

To work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Work Related Education qualification

Working Denbighshire are offering you a free Work Related Education qualification.
The skills and knowledge gained will allow you to further your aspirations for employment, help you to manage your own career and ultimately develop a tool kit of transferable skills and attributes that will enable you to sustain employment now and in the future.
