Working on Wellbeing - Scope & Legacy in the Community
Working on Wellbeing works with disabled people to develop a programme around their career goals and how they can achieve them. We do this through group and one-to-one support.
Working on Wellbeing is open to people who are:
· disabled - including if you have a physical or sensory impairment, learning difficulty, autism, or mental health condition.
· living in Wales
· aged 16 and over.
· unemployed
We support people to:
· Understand their career goals.
· Grow in confidence, assertiveness, and independence.
· Write their CV.
· Develop interview skills.
· Find and apply for volunteering, training, or employment opportunities.
Sessions are being held over the phone and online until further notice. We can provide adjustments, if needed, to access the service.
Working on Wellbeing gives two levels of support. These are:
A seven-week Pre-Employment Group Support that aims to:
• Develop core employability skills such as confidence, assertiveness, and time management.
• Provide help with CV and interview techniques.
• Look at volunteering, training, and work opportunities to boost and use these skills.
• Involves two groups and a one-to-one session each week.
A personalised one-to-one service that aims to:
• Provide help with CV and interview techniques.
• Discuss reasonable adjustments and encourage people to speak positively about disability.
• Provide an individual with the support that they need to find and keep employment.
• Up to six months of support through two-weekly one-to-one sessions.
Referrals for both levels of support can be made by completing the referral form on our website.
